COSTA BRAVA FRUCTICULTORS S.L. and FRUCTICOLA EMPORDÀ S.L., the mother companies of GIROPOMA, are located in Girona province and on the well-known Empordà plain and have been dedicated to the production and marketing of fruit for decades with a good part of the production of quality recognition located in the protected geographical indication (PGI) GIRONA APPLE.
The location of its associates' fields nestled in the heart of the natural parks of L'Alt and Baix Empordà adds value to the product and results in producers working in a way that is very respectful of the environment as they are constantly advised by a technical team that is highly specialized in integrated production systems and GlobalGAP standards for good agricultural and environmental practices.
It brings together a volume of fruit of approximatly 35,000 tons of apples, 1,200 tons of pears and 1,000 tons of peaches and nectarines, making it the most important fruit distribution group in Girona.
